I have been looking at a new digital camera and I noticed that it
outputs movies in a NTSC format. Which causes me to wonder if I
download that file to my PC via USB what is the format on my computer
?. What if I make a CD or DVD from my computer again I not sure what
happens to the format. I guess that probably must cameras do not
output in DTV format that will occur in 2008. Is someone making s
converter so output from a digital camera can be converted to digital TV
format. I forgot the camera I am looking at is the Canon S3 IS.
Principle use is for stills. Also I was looking at a friends Sonys W70
and it appear to have alot of output ratios. I am not sure what that's
all about.

Read your camera manual.

Look for the movie format.

Some cameras use Mov for the movie, if so, install Quicktime.

AVI will play in Windows Media Player.
