What do you have the AP connected to and how is it configured

Then you don't need to install the USB driver.
Open your Internet browser any key in "http://192.168.100.1" to the
address bar to configurate the router.

Check the manual, you need to know how to configurate the router/AP.

Ok got a new development on this matter, I have managed to get the drivers
installed and got it working for a few minutes, then got told by the device
that it needed a new firmware which the supplier kindly supplied when I
bought it. Problem it however I ran the firmware upgrade process using the
suggested method but it died about 25% of the way through. And now I cant
see anything at all. If I try and upgrade the firmware now it just gets 5%
of the way thorough and comes up saying DFU Failed and thats it it just
closes.

Anyone know how to resolve this issue at all?
