Olympus C-5050 Zoom ->Discontinued model?

Hello

I´m planing to buy a camera with 5MP to the end of the year. My closer
look goes to the following models:

- Canon G5 Powershot
- Olympus C-5050 Zoom
- Sony DSC-V1

(Did i miss to take one of the available models in that class into the
"group" of my favorits?)

As it always is, i want to get as much camera for the money as i can
get. On the Web i read an article, that shows up that the Olympus
C-5050 will be a discontinued model. Is that true? Did anyone have the
same information? And when it is so, when will the model be
discontinued, because in that case i´m going to wait until it´s possible
to get a "big" discount for it.

Yes, I believe the C-5050 has been discontinued in favor of the C-5060. I
don't know much about the C-5060 yet, but I have a C-5050 and really like
it. (I'm an amatur though and not a photograpy expert.) The C-5050 has been
rated best in it's class in several publication over the last year or so--it
must have something going for it. I bought it because it is supposed to be
very good in low light, which it is.
