I seem to recall some discussion on BIOS version here, but don't
remember which board they were about.
I have a month old (as far as when I bought it) P4C800 Deluxe board.
The BIOS shown when I boot up is:
AmiBios (c) 2003 American Megatrends Inc
ASUS P4C800
ACPI BIOS
Revision 1011
I've been to the ASUS website, and see that there are versions up to
1016. Should I download the latest BIOS or should I stick with what I
have? What would I gain? I do have one issue that might be board
related, and that's a problem where my cable connection drops out for
no apparent reason several times a day. This is with both the onboard
RJ45 jack and also a D-Link Fast Ethernet Adapter PCI card I just
installed. Both drop out for no reason. Would a BIOS upgrade possibly
fix this? I'm running Windows XP Pro with a P4 3.2Ghz processor and
1Gb RAM. Everytime I try to call AUSU Tech Support, they take my name
and say they'll call me back, but four times they haven't called me
back and I'm a little upset with them. Thanks for any info.
