Post subject: P5E-VM DO Windows Server 2003 SBE driver
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>asus (more info?)

I've been trying all day to find the answer to this and just can't do
it.

I've got a P5E-VM DO Asus motherboard that I'm using to configure a
server in a desktop's body running Windows Server 2003 Small Business
Edition. I've got all of the drivers figured out but two.

1) The Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus driver. In Device
Manager, I see the exclamation mark indicating that the driver isn't
functioning. When I investigate Properties, the driver indicates that
it isn't installed. I attempt to update the driver, and nothing
happens (literally nothing...no error, no warning, no nothing). I
tried the RealTek driver update (among others) with no luck.

2) There is an unknown PCI Simple Communications Controller being
detected. I'm not using any of the card slots (all onboard stuff), so
I have no idea whatsoever what this could be. What is it?

Thanks,

Adam
