Can I create a second non-bootable raid array on ports 2-5? Will this
board support more than 1 array on the Intel SATA raid controller?

I have a bootable raid 0 configured on ports 0 and 1. There are ports
2-5 and the external ports for the jmicron raid array - if I
understand correctly.

I thought this would be an easy question. Maybe I need to give more
info?

From the MATRIX STORAGE MANAGER HELP

Matrix RAID allows two independent RAID volumes to be created on a single
RAID array. The array may consist of 2 to 6 Serial ATA hard drives,
depending on the RAID level. The first RAID volume occupies part of the
array, leaving space in which a second volume can be created.

The following RAID levels combinations are supported as long as the same
number of hard drives is used for both volumes:
a.. 2-drive RAID 1 and RAID 0
b.. 3-6 drive RAID 0 and RAID 5
c.. 4-drive RAID 0 and RAID 10
d.. 4-drive RAID 5 and RAID 10
Just a quick look on my part. Have not done this myself.. Do a search on the
Intel site, you might be able to download the help file.. This is from a P5K
Deluxe system board. Don't know if the E is the same Intel chip set.

Thanks for your help. Is it not possible to create 2 raid 0 arrays?
That was my goal.
