I have several Everex PO-6200's which are very similar (dual PPro
board made by FCT; I've been able to substitute the PO-6200 for
a P6DNF running NT4 or Win2K sever).

The only problem I had with the DNF was with
the AT power connector, which failed due to overheating due to the
connector having gold contacts and the power supply having tin
contacts -> electrolytic corrosion.

They turn up on eBay regularly.

I upgraded to the later P6DLH and P6DGH boards, which also use AT
power connectors, but those are the end of the line for that
route.

Sure. In a PCP&C steel tower and with a couple of
PPro Overdrives. Never been able to boot OS/2
though with the merged kernel. HPFSMINI traps
right at startup.

Haven't had any power supply problems with a 400W
PCP&C PS with an Aux power connector that plugs
into the motherboard (had to swap the polarity
first).

I am still running a P6DNF in a SM 801 case. After the power supply
connectors burnt I soldered the wires from the redundant power supply in the
801 case to the P6DNF motherboard and it keeps on running NT4 Server.

I am trying to debug and setup an X5DA8 board and have been extremely
disappointed in the slow SCSI drive speeds when using an Adaptec 2010S in
the green PCI-X slot. 4 Seagate ST336607LW drives only give 72.2 MB/s
(across the whole 140GB) through put in a Raid 0 array. Software Raid 0
with the 2010S still in the system gives 104 MB/s over the whole 140GB array
(a 44% improvement). My next tests will be without the 2010S in the system
and Win2K Server's software Raid 0. The system board and 2010S have been
flashed to the latest versions and drivers are the latest versions also.

I don't understand why Supermicro would have anything to do with Adaptec
when the recommended Raid controller slows the performance of the hard
drives.

Sure. Runs with two 200/512k PPros and 512MB Windows XP and some W2k server
and Linux in VMwares. Very stable. Didn't have any problems with the power
connector so far.
