370DLI - Hi there I am having a 370DLI and I unknowing of the 100MHz I bought 2 1Ghz and because of the 100MHz bus speed problem I am only able to run them at 750MHz each. Has anybody managed to modify the board to be able to run..

Question about P6SBA - What is the fastest CPU that can be used on the P6SBA I now have a PIII 450Ghz and would like to upgrade if possible. I that it needs a Slot 1 CPU. Are there any other like BUS speed? -- Walter B _______

old p6sba question - 12 beeps? - Hi. I've been running a p6sba board with a P2 233 stuck in it for the best part of ten years now, with no problems. Recently I've purchased a P2 400 which I'd like to put in instead, but I'm problems. when I turn my system on..

P6SBA - AGP Card Compatibility - Hi, I've got a P6SBA, currently running a 2x speed card. I would like to upgrade this card to the much newer 8x GeForce FX 5200. Are the AGP voltages okay to support this? I know that the card will only run at 2x speed though. regards,

P6SBA BX motherboard and USB2? - I have a USB2 PCI card which only works at USB1 speed. I have XP with SP1 applied, but each time I plug a USB2 device in, it says that a HI-SPEED device is connected to a LO-SPEED USB hub. Am I fighting a losing battle because of the..

Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>supermicro (more info?)

I'm sure this group has seen its fair share of questions regarding
this enigma, but I'm seeking to get this socket 370 1GHz celeron chip
working with my P6SBA motherboard. I flashed the BIOS to the latest
rev and my PCB is rev 2.x... so I'm pretty sure I have the correct
voltage regulator.

I'm wondering if I'm even CLOSE to getting this thing to work. What
happens is when I put the CPU on the board, I boot it up... POST
screen comes up (everything looks normal, BIOS even shows the presence
of a 1000Mhz processor).. starts detecting IDE drives.. Then sometimes
it freezes here. Sometimes though, it makes it into the OS boot-up
sequence THEN freezes.

So, am I completely S.O.L.? Or is there something I can do to get
this puppy to work? HELP! I feel like I'm close to really getting
this system up to speed but its just out of reach.

Check your memory. If it makes it through POST, it should work. Do you
have the FCPGA or FCPGA2 Celeron? It should say on the packaging.
Lastly, I take it you're using a slocket. Have you used that slocket
before?

I sure that the final BIOS for the P6SBA (and all of the P6SBA's
cousins) have no provisions for the CPU microcode of those latter-day
P3 Celerons.

The final BIOS for the P6SBA (V3.1) was for compatibility with the
Slot-1 1000 MHz P3 Coppermine.
