Post subject: P965 memory voltage...
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>msi-microstar (more info?)

Hello,

The system runs just fine with the memory configured by SPD, but I cannot
increase the memory voltage; the BIOS version is 1.2 and the board revision
is 1.1.
As the matter of fact, I cannot adjust voltage and/or frequency in the BIOS
for either the CPU, memory, FSB, etc. When I try the system displays the
values in red and does not allow adjusting; it complains about being
dangerous. The system works just fine with the default values.
Any way making the BIOS to allow changing these values? I don't want to OC
the the box; I'd just need to increase the memory voltage to change the
timing for the memory.
TIA...
