I want to take photos using my PC - mostly just to see if it could be
done, but it could be used for time-lapse photography, security etc...

Apparently the C-450 is a European model number:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://cf.olympus-europa.com/consumer/digimg/intro.cfm?id=C%2D450ZOOM" target="_blank">http://cf.olympus-europa.com/consumer/digimg/intro.cfm?id=C%2D450ZOOM</a>
The equivalent in the USA appears to be the D-565:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_product_lobbypage.asp?l=1&p=16&bc=1&product=941" target="_blank">http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_product_lobbypage.asp?l=...=16&bc=</a>
How confusing. Why can't they use the same model numbers worldwide?
