This seems like such an obvious problem, but I'm having issues gettting
to the bottom of this.

I prefer to have my CDR, CDWR, DVDRW, etc one at a time on an IDE
interface so that I don't have master/slave collision problems when
multiple units are operating simultaneously.

I would think that there would be a demand for a PCI or PCI Express IO
card that would work with these units, but the ones I've found seem to
be limited to IDE/SATA/SCSI hard drives only.

Can any of 'yall point me to a controller card that works specifically
with IDE optical media?

thanks.
