What should I expect to see as far as performance increases if I go from a
3200+ barton core chip on an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe. To a AMD 64 2800+ on a
K8N Neo Platinum? Would it be worth it? or should I wait untill I can
afford a faster proc?
Thanks

Well, going from a 3200+ to a 2800+, regardless of model, you'd expect to
see a decrease in performance, but since the XP 3200+ is overrated IMO, I
doubt that you will. This should give you an idea.

Actually I have a 2500+ overclocked to 3200+ at least that is what the board
reports at boot....guess that dosen't make much difference tho....as it
performs just like a 3200+!
Thanks

New AM2 LE1600 cpu performance? - Hey does anyone have one of these yet? I'm interested in how they perform and how good they are for over clocking, cos if they're any good I wouldn't mind using them in a couple of low budget pc's. So far I can't find any benchmarks...

Do I need to increase chipset voltage? - It is an option in the BIOS. I can run my system at either 11x250 or 10x275 no problem. Ram runs at 275 FSB just fine. At 11x260 it is stable with vcore of 1.45. I should not have to worry about chipset voltage unless I go over 275 FSB right? Opteron..

FSB settings increase memory speed? - Say you want to OC to 2ghz and you set your FSB to 200 and your mxplier to 10. This would set your memory to 400mhz. Does this mean that your memory will work faster, or does this only relate to processor speed? What I mean is, is 200x10 any more..
