Unfortunately there is a noticeable impact of quality, especially at the
edges of the frame... and it lowers the effective fstop (light gathering
capability) so that longer shutter speeds are used (more chance for blur).
Rather than one of the stick on lenses, why now spend less money for Adobe
PhotoShop Elements and one of the simple books. By carefully enlarging a
portion of the image taken (enlarge in several steps, not all at once), you
can get fine results from the G5. One other thing on the G5, be careful of
the noise factor from higher ISO speeds... stick to the lower ISO end and
use a tripod !
The difference between the G5 and the 10D (or now the Rebel) is much, much
more than the lens. The sensor, the noise factor, and the fl;exibility are
really big things.... I have both G5 and 10D.
