Just installed this drive all seemed well at first. Tried Nero and DVDXcopy
Express both programs work great with DVD+ media, DVD- media does not work
at all. The disks are not found at all. Tried Sony, Maxell and Memorex,
DVD-r no luck. Started with bios 2.16 and then bios 2.17 still no luck. Any
ideas or should I just RMA it back to LiveWarehouse.com or Optorite?

Do you have the latest version of Nero? If so have you tried doing a large
backup, meaning the backup is larger than the media's capacity? If so did it
work? If I were you I look into the RMA option, my DD0203 wont do backups
larger than the media's capacity, otherwise it seems to work fine, even
burns Princo 1x DVD-R at 2x.

Not sure burning 1x rated media at 2x is such a good idea.
Bound to be playback problems.

Some burners seem more "picky" about the media they will
work on than others. We had a NEC 1300A that wouldn't touch
the dvd-r's we bought until we found a modified firmware for
the beast which allows more brands than the official
firmware. Not sure if this is the case with yours, but have
a look through <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.dvdrhelp.com," target="_blank">www.dvdrhelp.com,</a> it may help and it may not
Wink
