I recently purchased a second NIC for my laptop for transferring between
PCs. It is a Linksys Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet 10/100 PCMCIA Network
Card (M/N: NP100-WM). For some reason I cannot get it to transfer more than
8 MB/s whereas my other built-in NIC transfers at around 50 MB/s. Is this a
limitation of PCMCIA or what? The only reason I even purchased a second NIC
was because the inexpensive routers (which are still more than a second NIC)
have a 10 Mb/s cap.
Also, what is a 32-bit Integrated Cardbus and how do I know if I have it?
Also also, what is the difference between and Linksys card and a Network
Everywhere card?
Thanks,
Steve
