Post subject: Radeon 8500 LE driver failed & no update
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>videocards>ati (more info?)
works when downloading from ATI.AMD.com site. The card originally came from
Crucial in 2002 but they do not support it anymore. Can anyone email one
that is digitally signed that winxp-pro accepts? Thanks. (remove the X in my
address before sending)

The card is probably too old to have digitally signed drivers. Just tell XP
to use them anyway.

The message I'm seeing from you doesn't seem complete.

The last drivers to work with the Radeon 8500 is Catalyst 6.5:
http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/previous/radeon/radeonxip-cat65-xp.html

I think the driver picker menu at ATi.AMD.Com incorrectly defaults to
Catalyst 6.11 for the Radeon 8500.
