I have two 21 inch Sony Trinitron flat screen CRT monitors hooked up to a
Radeon X700. These monitors do not have a DVI input so I had to use a DVI to
VGA adaptor. The monitor that has the DVI output doesn't look right, the
text looks like it has a slight shadow behind it. I downloaded the drivers
from ATI, they have a date of 03-05-07. I have tested the monitor with the
VGA output and it looks fine, it is only the monitor on the DVI output that
looks bad. Is that a common problem? or should I look into the adaptor
and/or cable as being the culprit?

Is there "better" adaptors? or is it just a plug that re-routes the pins?

Thanks

A

I use an adapter that came with my X1950XT and the text looks crystal clear.
Get a new adapter/cable.
