Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard (more info?)

Hi all -

I'm a novice at this - probably know just enough to get myself in
trouble. Regardless, I could use some advice.

I'm trying to build a machine that is good for running VMWare. I'm
considering the dual core 920D as the core processor (with a slew of
RAM).

The question I have is about the motherboard - I don't need anything
fancy - it's not for production systems - just for setting up test
application deployments. So I don't need fancy graphics, gig-e, or
anything like that. Just a simple, STABLE, dual core processor / mobo
combination. Oh, and the BIOS needs to support enabling the Intel VT
extensions on the processor.

Anyone have any experience/advice on this?

Thanks!
Mike
