I have one of these boards and I want to clear the supervisor password
from the system, but it is resisting all attempts to do so.

Is there some way it can be cleared?

I have tried clearing it via the JP3 jumper and by removing the CMOS
battery and it doesn't work. There must be something faulty on the
board, or it has been modified to act like laptop passwords.

It just won't shift. Coupled with that it is a Packard Bell computer
they might have changed the usual working of the CMOS clearing
