Just curious about how you would load Windows drivers in DOS. What
would you be loading them into??? I've never seen SATA RAID drivers
for DOS. Even if there were, and you installed DOS and those drivers,
the Windows DVD would never see them because you'd have to boot the
computer from the DVD.
On most motherboards, even Windows drivers aren't needed for SATA
drives during Windows installation UNLESS you've mounted a RAID array
in BIOS before starting the installation. XP and Vista have their own
SATA IDE drivers, so installation proceeds transparently. Although
some folks with nVidia chipsets like to load the nForce SATA IDE
drivers for their non-RAID systems, doing that isn't mandatory.
Let us know how you come out with this.
