Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>asus (more info?)

Board is a p4p800dlx running a P4 2.8ht, 1 gig of corsair pc3700.

My 2 WD 80gig PATA are runnning as master 1 & 2 ( none raid) on the
via controller. My 160gig WD SATA is set up as the only master on the
SATA controller, primary IDE is empty & secondary IDE has 2 optical
drives.

XPsp1 was copied over to the SATA drive using Drive image 2002.

No drivers installed for SATA.

I am now successfully booting from the SATA drive. MY BIG question is
that Sisoft Sandra 2004 states that my SATA is only transfering at 34
mg/s while my 80 gigs are transfering at 46 mg/s. Yet they are both 8
meg cache, & 7200 RMP drives.

What gives??

Thanks

Locust
