Anyone running "any" raid configuration with the integrated SATA raid
controller on this board?
Would you comment on performance? Which drives? Any problems?
Many thanks.

I tried using IDE RAID (Western Digital 160GB) and it failed. Couldn't
even get the OS loaded without it crashing.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I had a lot of trouble too putting the OS on a new SATA WD 120GB drive.

I tried XP/SP1 and XP/SP2 and both would crash and burn when it rebooted
to finish the installation.

This is what worked for me.......

During the initial install it asks if I need to install additional
drivers and gives me the option of pressing F6. Instead of F6 I press
F5. Apparently it needed to know whether it is a multiple CPU board and
how many CPUs are installed. Don't know why this works but it does.

I was able to install XP/SP1 or XP/SP2 without any trouble. To prove to
myself that this was the cure, I tried to install again without using
F5, and it failed again. Go figure.

Hope this helps..............<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Have 2 Hitachi deskstar's installed.
used F6 and setup asked for RAID Controller drivers that are on the
floppy that goes with the mainboard. You have to install them both.
Even on the basic Win XP all of the 314Gb was recognised as far as I can
remember.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
