I've just replaced the 80mm heatsink fan with a quieter Papst fan but this
thing still sounds awful. I don't fancy pulling the power supply apart to
replace the fan in there (which I gather from other posts is the problem),
is there another power supply that I can buy to replace this one that others
have found to be quiet? It currently has the Enhance 200W supply.

Thanks.

James

Hi.
It's really not that hard to replace those fans, I just did it yesterday. On
this page (see below) u can find a "tutorial". Me my self have a SB62G2, and
the fans in the PSU is not the same as those in the tutorial, instead its
some ADDA 40x40x20, I replaced them with Papst.

Get on with it, it really helps

Hi,

Actually there are some other PSU's...
a 220Watt and a 240Watt from ACHME.

They are used in the latest shuttle xpc's, afaik they privide a little
more power and some (more) silent fan's.

Here is a list with replacement fans AND the original fans as well.
It is in german...but you will find the relevant information i think.
