SB61G2 HDD LED does not work with HDD

Hi,

I've got a Shuttle SB61G2 with an IBM/Hitachi HDD (master on the
primary IDE controller) and a Plexstore DVD writer (master on the
secondary IDE). My problem is, that the HDD led on the front panel
lights up whenever I access the DVD drive but doesen't show any HDD
activity. To avoid conflicts with the DVD I've already removed the DVD
but this doesen't help.
Has anyone an idea how to solve this problem?

I had a similar problem. but my LED light would not show HDD activity. check
the wires and check all the IDE cables. I did that about twice and it works
now.
