I just purchased a Chaintech SKT800T and AMD Athlon 3000+ from MWAVE.COM and have been unable to get the system to post with video card, memory, and PS connected.

I sent bundle back to MWAVE and they tested and returned but I still can't get the system to post.

What am I doing wrong?

I have a 400W power supply with both the 20 pin and 4 pin power supply connectors. Do I need to connect both?

If I only connect the 20 pin connector, the fan spins on the CPU but no video signal. If I use both 20 and 4 pin connectors fan moves slightly and stops.

Seems the 4 pin connector will work in 2 ways 180 degrees from each other. Which is correct?

I'm really at a loss as this is my 6+ system and I've never had this kind of problem. Sad

more than likely the psu isn't up to the task. yes you must use the p4 connector. there is a raised spot on the board connector and the clip side of the connector from the psu faces the same.

you need a good psu with at least 20amp/12v line. if you look on your psu it probably states 15 or 16amp/12volts.

try booting with just cpu, hs/fan vid card and 1 stick of memory. you might get a post vid.
