SY-K7VEMPRO Screen Funky on boot

Post subject: SY-K7VEMPRO Screen Funky on boot
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>soyo (more info?)

For some reason whenever I boot from my system on my older monitor the
screen is all funny. Then windows login area looks fine and so does windows,
but I cannot read the bios info on the post at the beginning it is squiggly.
It's sort of like it's trying to push too high of a resolution to he
monitor, but I know the monitor does at least 800x600.

it may be a fixed frequency monitor, BIOS screwey but when windows
starts the drivers loads at the correct frequency
