I having sound problems, I put together this computer about 2 months
ago from scratch. No problems. Then, due to system failures after
the sister-in-law used it, I had to reinstall the system software.
Everything went well except I have no sound. I installed the updated
drivers from Soyo and.... Nothing.
The device shows as:
CMI8738/C3DX PCI Audio device
Says "This device is working properly."
Under Sounds and Audio devices, volume:
No Audio device
Hardware tab (CMI8738/C3DX PCI Audio device):
This device is working properly. But if you look at the properties tab
it says:
Status: Driver is enabled but has not been started....
Same for Midi and Mixer devices
I don't get it... What do I do???
