Post subject: Safe Mode

K7S5A board. How can you get into safe mode when you can't boot into
windows. Tapping the F8 key does not work. That gives a menu of floppy,
Cd-rom and HDD. Thanks in advance. Bill

if '98 hold down left CTRL during post, keep it held down 'till you see a
menu, then select option 3

setup the mobo for this boot order: a:, c:

Put a non-bootable blank floppy in the a: drive

Boot the machine, after the BIOS post screen, you should see the
system attempt to boot from the floppy (watch the access light), then
start pressing the F8 key. HTH
