This drive should support DMA, but on my system I only get PIO4.

Motherboard Abit KT-7 Raid

All settings in BIOS and Windows XP is set to use DMA if it's available. I
have tried hooking the drive up as the only drive on the secondary IDE
channel, got only PIO-mode. My motherboard reconize it as only doing
PIO-mode 4. The Aopen CD-drive on the same channel is recognized as DMA33.
The Samsung is set as slave, but that shouldn't matter or does it?

Need Samsung CD-rom Manual - I got a Samsung SC-140 CD drive from a friend I went to the Samsung web site trying to get a copy of the owner manual. But, every time I try, I was just returned to the same page I started from. Does anybody know where else I can download a copy?

Can't close my Toshiba CD-ROM drive? - Hello. I have a Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-M1212 drive that refuses to close with or without a CD/DVD when the computer is on. If I turn off the computer and power it on, the drive closes and stays close. I can reopen it if I want, but then it won't close...

How do you fit an 800 meg file on a cd? - I've downloaded some large files over the internet that I would like archive to a cd, but they are around 800 megs for a single file... Is there some way to edit the file or even to cut off the end to make it fit on a cd? Thanks! Ter

about the dw-u10a - Hey there, i just got the drive the other day and hada few problems with it. I don't know if it was the media i was using or the drive but I decided to flash it first from the dw-u10a firmware to the dru-500a firmware, as they are the same..
