Hello

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 192b flat LCD monitor connected to my ATI
radeon 9200 video card via an analog VGA cable.

the problem: When I boot up my computer everything looks all right
until the screen goes blank (somewhere near the end of the boot
process). I then have to reboot my computer and everything works
fine.
I have this problem both on Linux and Windows (so I guess it's not an
OS thing) and I have tried with a different video card (so It's
probably not that either)

This is getting very annoying so I would appreciate any suggestions,
thanks.

I had the same problem with samsung syncmaster p2250 LCD monitor with GPU=Gigabyte ATI Raedon 4850 and M/B= Gigabyte G41M-ES2L (intel chipset G41).
My probelm when I first power on the PC, monitor goes blank & don't see anything. If I wait I can even hear windows startup-sound, that means windows 7 successfully boot up. Then I have to restart. On 2nd attempt monitor shows boot up information of motherboard. Very annoying, same thing I have to power up PC for the first time. From the 2nd time this won't happen.

I have tried with both external (ATI 4850) & built in GPU, but same happen. Even tried with bios reset & bios upgrade also.
