I purchased 2 Sandisk 2gb CF cards, they came with cd's for Sandisk Rescue,
but I don't see where there is a serial number, to type in when the software
asks for it. If the serial number was on another part of the package other
than on the sleeve which holds the cd, then I already chucked the package,
and I am out of luck?

I don't remember being asked to enter any number. Can you install anyway?

I have it installed, when started, up pops the serial number request. I have
sent off an email to Sandisk explaining this, waiting for a reply,

Well, they said it should be on the CD. Magnifying glass says otherwise, but
they sent me one to use...

Then you must get the person that sold you the memory card and program to
get you the serial number for the installation CD.
