Post subject: Setting up RAID 0 (SATA)
Archived from groups: comp>sys>ibm>pc>hardware>storage (more info?)

Hi all,

I'm quite a newbie with computers.
But i've recently bought a new computer and have tried to replace the 40GB
IDE with 2x 200GB Maxtor DiamondMax Plus9 SATA

I'm connecting them to the motherboard and only one drive is recognised.

I find it odd that the 2nd hdd isn't even recognised at all.

I know i'll probably need some software to implement a RAID 0 setup but I
have no idea where to get it or what it is.

I don't know what kind of motherboard it is but the computer model is an HP
d530C

Thanks for your time,
Darren

P.S This might be hard to read as I was talking on the phone when typing.
