Hi,
Just to check if there is any solution to this situation.
I have a Shuttle with am FB61 Mainboard.

There is no free PCI slot, and the built in sound card does not have an
AUDIO-LINE IN as far as I can tell.

I need to connect a TV card (WinTV) with the LINE-IN and I do not want
to use an external sound card if I can help it.

I have one free AGP slot - perhaps there is a high end graphics card
that can also do sound...?
Any other tweaks I can do that might allow me to solve this?!

Any tips appreciated!

Johanna

Did you check the connections on the front of the Shuttle box?

It does...commonly known as a microphone socket.

Thanks both of you - this was right - I needed to check the front and
use the microphone in. Also needed to change some sound settings.
Oh well, next time I will know!

Does any one know if it is possible to re-allocate the line in to a rear
sound socket?
With the Hauppage cards you have to connect their external line out to the
system line in with a cable (and cable supplied is too short to reach the
front of the shuttle boxes) - it is a bit ugly having a cable running round
to the front of the box.
