Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>gigabyte (more info?)

I've just built a new Vista machine using the GA-P35C-DS3R motherboard and
am impressed by its performance.

But I have a problem concerning the built in sound. There doesn't appear
to be a stereo or mono mix bus to access so that audio recorders can
record audio going through the card.

My old computer with a Gigabyte board and built in Realtek AC97 sound has
stereo and mono mix busses accessible so that Audacity and sound recorders
etc can record the output from software players.

The new board with the R 180 Realtek High Definition Audio doesn't seem to
have that facility. Or have I missed something?

Any help gratefully received.
