Like many people I'm looking for a new digital camera; is there a
comparative summary of features anywhere?

My "want list" includes:
- very small and light
- good battery life and removable battery
- at least 3x optical zoom
- wide angle (28mm equivalent)
- view finder
- image stabilisation (ideally)
- non-projecting lens (ideally)

.... is there anything that fits this list?

Dave

I would start looking at the Canon Powershot digital cameras in the 6-7
Megapixel range. Several have stabilized lens with 3.8X and up zoom.

There are several camera reviews online.
Here are the three best known camera review sites.

Steve's lets you choose the megapixels to start with.

Thanks Carl. Those are useful sites (especially dpreview) but it's
frustrating that the pre-defined filters never seem to quite match what
I want; I guess everyone wants to filter the info in different ways. A
spreadsheet or database of features would be great because it could be
custom sorted/filtered on any parameter, but I haven't found one yet.

The Canon range looks good but the wide angle (28mm) versions are
relatively thick and ideally I was looking for something not much more
than 20mm. Time to compromise somewhere!
