Post subject: No Gigabyte Support In UK
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>giga-byte (more info?)

Anyone in the UK beware that despite what's published in the Gigabyte
motherboard manuals and on their web site there isn't any support of their
products in the UK.
I've recently sent them an email to the address as stated in a manual from a
motherboard newly introduced to the market plus filled out the form on the
website but I've still not had a reply from them or even an acknowledgement.
I even attempted to telephone the two numbers shown on their advertisements
for the motherboards but was told each time that I couldn't have any support
from them due to firstly not purchasing direct and not being part of a
company (I'm a private home user). This attitude stinks and is much worse
than that encountered from Microsoft.
Now this isn't an isolated incident as I've never had any reply from the UK
support in the past few years either. This is a great shame as the product
is good but without adequate support back up the product is very
disappointing.
Thanks for nothing Gigabyte for a having the courtesy (NOT!) of replying or
acknowledging my requests for assistance. I'm now very disappointed with the
motherboard due to having no support from you.
My advice to anyone in the UK is don't buy any Gigabyte products until
support is given.

Stephen
