Anyone in the UK beware that despite what's published in the Gigabyte
motherboard manuals and on their web site there isn't any support of their
products in the UK.
I've recently sent them an email to the address as stated in a manual from a
motherboard newly introduced to the market plus filled out the form on the
website but I've still not had a reply from them or even an acknowledgement.
I even attempted to telephone the two numbers shown on their advertisements
for the motherboards but was told each time that I couldn't have any support
from them due to firstly not purchasing direct and not being part of a
company (I'm a private home user). This attitude stinks and is much worse
than that encountered from Microsoft.
Now this isn't an isolated incident as I've never had any reply from the UK
support in the past few years either. This is a great shame as the product
is good but without adequate support back up the product is very
disappointing.
Thanks for nothing Gigabyte for a having the curtsey (NOT!) of replying or
acknowledging my requests for assistance. I'm now very disappointed with the
motherboard due to having no support from you.
My advice to anyone in the UK is don't buy any Gigabyte products until
support is given.

Stephen

Got to agree with you there.

The emails that I sent were ignored and the telephone support was a complete
and utter waste of time. Unless I totally misunderstood what the lady was
saying to me she said that for them to answer my questions they would want
£18.75, but I might have got it wrong what she was meaning as my eyes were
glazing over a little at that stage. Unlike both Epox and Abit that I have
phoned in the past and found them both to show a great willingness to help
regardless of where I bought the board from. I have had responses to email
and phone calls by both of them.

Still it helped me to believe that I had made the right choice of returning
my board for a refund.

I know what you mean about support in the UK, the telephone support from
them is terrible. Once I phoned up and they wouldnt even explain to me how
to flash the bios. Ive yet to try and email them, from my experience with
gigabyte support I will never buy another.
