I posting this because I can't believe what great service I received
from Chaintech service support, and since you are reading this group,
I figured you ought to know. I don't work for Chaintech or any of its
affiliates - I'm just a plain vanilla consumer.
So here's my story:
-- My 18 month-old CT-9CJS mobo died about 5 weeks ago. It was a great
board with many high-end features.
-- I searched the web for a replacement and couldn't find one.
-- Called Chaintech support, and talked a to a person who told me
there might yet be some unboxed ones available.
-- per his instruction, I emailed the tech support, and after several
emails - because I could not find the serial number on my old board -
I got an RMA, but no promises about repair or replacement.
-- The RMA email had the RMA number and instructions to enclose a $35
money order and a copy of the email with the RMA#. It took a week to
get to California from the east coast. I didn't hear anything until 7
days later.
-- Exactly 7 days after Chaintech service support received my old
mobo, the replacement board arrived.
I have only just rebuilt the machine (yeah, I have a full time job
too), but it works. >> Stay informed about: Chaintech Support A+ |

And now my story:
I send a simple email to Chaintech support about Mainboard CPU support.
AFTER 3 Mails still no answer
You call that great service !!!

I was considering a chanintech video card. After visiting their site I was
surprised to find support is by e mail only. This is not only exceedingly
slow but really avoids at least a toll number for a prompt exchange. Too
cheap!
Chaintech is scratched from my list of vendors. Will go for one of many
with free phone support.

Try this: service.DeleteThis@chaintechusa.com
just a suggestion: they'll need your email address, product, model#,
and serial#. tell them your problem, describe system components,
conditions you have seen the problem, etc., and what you would like
them to do. >> Stay informed about: Chaintech Support A+ |

I think the chaintech web site is in Taiwan, and probably maintained
by people there. I don't know if the links are dead or not, but
everything I've ever downloaded from the Taiwan site has been
s--l--o--w--. That email is to their US support (a company called BTC,
I think.) Glad it worked for you, too. >> Stay informed about: Chaintech Support A+ |
