This barebone only has a 200w PSU.
I need to replace it with something more powerful.

Problem is, a normal ATX PSU will not fit inside.
Standard size ATX is 15cm x 14cm x 8.6 cm.
The PSU in the T2-AE1 is 12cm x 12cm x 8.6cm.

Where do I find a power supply in those dimensions?
Are there even PSUs that size?

Thanks,

You have a non-standard computer case, that industry standard PSU's will NOT
fit in. Time for a new computer case and PSU.

Ah, thanks.

Would you happen to know here to get some in Europe?
These only sell to US & Canada.

Is this a standard microATX size, by the way? Or some obscure Asus thing?

Got me. There's a half a dozen different P/S < physical > sizes out
there. Since you failed to mention the make/model of the power supply
and the case, you got my best guess as a replacement P/S.

From

http://www.silentpcreview.com/article620-page4.html

***

POWER SUPPLY

The power supply comes from Delta, the world's largest manufacturer of
power supplies. The model number is not listed on Delta's web site, but
it appears to be based on an SFX12V power supply. *Unfortunately, it
cannot be easily replaced if it fails because the mounting holes do not
conform to any standard.*

The power rating is 200W, with 10A on the +12V rail — enough for a
midrange processor and a midrange graphics card. It is probably
insufficient for a graphics card that requires external power. That,
combined with the limited cooling around the graphics slot makes a hot
graphics card a bad choice. Given the limited high-end options for AGP
cards, it should be fairly easy to avoid overloading the power supply,
as few AGP cards consume that much power.

***

Unfortunately, I do not see that part on their web site:

http://www.delta.com.tw/product/ps/sps/sps_product.asp?pcid=1&ptid=4

Here it is at the Asus store, US/Canada:

http://estore.asus.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=2109&catid=333

Can't find an equivalent store in Europe, but maybe there is one....

As for a new case & power supply:

http://www.silentpcreview.com/article620-page3.html

"The motherboard uses a proprietary form factor." It won't fit in a
standard atx/microatx case....

Maybe if you contact the Asus distributor in your region they can help.

Perhaps the OP has an open 5 1/4 bay, in which case maybe she can put
in something like this:

I forget the URL, but google "Ultra Products". They have a line of PSUs
from 300 to 450w designed for small form factor cases that should fit. I
use a few of them in systems I recently built for my son and myself and
they work fine.

Hiya, fellows!

Felt an urge to bump this old thread, since I'm suffering from somewhat
the same issue. Have this ASUS Terminator 3 barebone that came with a
~250w PSU when I bought it (~three years ago). However, I'd love to
upgrade. Any chance of that happening? Will a mini-ATX PSU fill my
demands/barebone case, or not? Links would be much appreciated. Anything
of interest.

Cheers!

What are the dimensions of the original 250W PSU?

There are Micro ATX and SFX12V form factor power supply units with
dimensions that are so similar and with several variations in depth/length.

You probably don't want one with a height that is smaller than your existing
PSU because that would leave a gaping hole visible.

What power capacity are you aiming for?

What is the brand and model of the discrete graphics card, if any?
