Hi,

we got the following situation:
We install our Clients over the network (PXE)
with an unattended installation of Windows
(W2K Prof. SP4). Sometimes the installation
is done with very poor performance. It lasts
about one and a half hour (when copying the source
files to the local hard disk). Then when we start
the installation again in another network segment
it is in normal performance. When we swich then
back to the former network segment the installation
there is also in good performance. And then sudenly
it's bad again. We already analyzed the network
traffic - there is no problem. So the machine seems
to behave different from installation to installation.
Also the latest BIOS-Update didn't help and we can't
reproduce the error case.
Can someone help?

Thx...

Michael

Sorry Michael, but this does not look like a HW problem!
May be You should ask for this problem in a W2k SW group?
