Post subject: Trouble installing AIW 9600xt 128 on P4vmm mainboard

Just trying to install this AIW 9600XT 128 AGP video card on a P4vmm mainboard.
Removed the VIA onboard video driver
Installed the ATI driver
shutdown pc
install AGP card and move display cable to new card
power up
display rolls graphics that are unreadable and changes to different types of designs. Never see any text, don't think pc is booting

sounds like it may be a bad card. find some willing to let you slip it in to their rig. if it does the same thing in the boot screen, return it.
