Post subject: Video Card advice needed

Just bought a new PC. Decent PC, Athlon 64 X2 6000+ with 3 Gigs of RAM. It came with Vista Home Premium.

I don't do much gaming (got a 360 for that) but I do need to transfer analog video to the PC for editing and burning DVDs. The current GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 doesn't hold up. Sometimes when I am transfering video to the PC I get a Display failure error. I assume this means the PC/video card can't keep up with the real time analog to digital video conversion.

So, Do I need a new graphics card? If so, any advice on a upgradng the graphics card? What should I look for in a card if I'm trying to solve this problem. Any advice on analog to digital video conversion would be helpful as well. Trying to get a high quality DVD from my Hi-8 recordings.

Thanks
