Workhorse MB & Proc Configuration

Hi folks.

I am new to this PC building thing. I've reviewed some of the offerings online and have found them to be more than what I need.

I would like to put a handful of these items together to work in harmony over a Gigabit LAN.

I have minimal requirements that optimizes performance, and reduces unnecessary components:

VGA
2 USB
1 Firewire
1 SATA
1 Gig Ethernet
Line out (speakers)
WiFi (hopefully integrated)
2 Gig DDR2 533
IDE

Is there a board like this for any of the new chips? I've been looking at the Conroe E6300, which offers great performance/$.

Is it common to get motherboards designed for custom applications like this? Who does this service? Is it expensive?
