XP 2500 333 barton at 266

Can I stick a xp 2500 333 barton in a ECS K7S5a and run it at 266?
If so can I see a improvment over a Duron 900?

it will boot up with the xp2500 which is usually the big problem with boards of that age.

your limiting factor will be your memory speed.
