While in normal operation (read: playing a game) the PC shut off
unexpectedly. All attempts since then to boot has failed. The fans and
lights will work for about 1/2 a second and then nothing. I swapped
out the power supply to eliminate it as the cause which leads me to
either the mainboard or the cpu.
I had been wathcing the temps and nothing has been too high. I even
enabled shutdown if the temp got too high so I'm not suspecting the
chip, but how can I rule it out?

Anyone have any ideas I could try other than the likely RMA?
Is there any way to distinguish between a cpu failure and a mobo
failure if I dont have an extra of either to swap out?

Hi,

I had exactly the same failure, you need to replace the mobo.

It's best to get a ZNF3-250 then because I wouldn't trust the -150's any
more
