well, there is the chance that it requires USB 2.0 while your motherboard's
USB might be 1.0...
there's also a chance that your version of Windows doesn't run right with
it... you didn't mention whether or not you're using Win95.. that version is
known to not support USB very well at all...
then there's also a chance that (a) that one keyboard is bad... or (b) that
