Hello,

As of yesterday, my Zyxel Prestige 334 seems to be dead. The power led
is blinking, indicating it is doing some testing, but it never finishes
the test. I have tried the obvious, rebooting and resetting the router.
Zyxel support was happy to tell me about the new routers I could
purchase, but not much more. (Warranty has already expired.)

Is there any hope left for this router?

When you mentioned resetting the router did you reset it to factory
settings?

If that does not work I would also do a firmware flash, even if it's
the same version sometimes that will bring something back to life.
Anyway it's worth a try, you can't break something that is already
broke.

Yes, pressing the reset button is supposed to restore factory settings.

Unfortunately that requires me to be able to log on to the router, and
since it never finishes its testing, I can't do that.

Well, at least this is a good reason to get a new router.
