Looking at the barebone boxes on NewEgg has put a thought into my head about
building a home entertainment center. The centerpiece? One of those
obscenely-small PCs like the BioStar or Shuttle.

I have a few questions, tho...1. I'm planning on putting an XP2500+ in
there. How are these cases for heat dispersion? It is already toasty warm
with my XP3K running in here. I plan on putting 2x256 PC27/24/2100 in there
(depending on the FSB speed, which i also have a question about...what's
best for a 2500+?). 2. How in god's name am I supposed to put a CPU in
there? I don't even see a socket! 3. Are there any signifcant concerns in
packing these components so close together? 4. Have any of you built one of
these before, and if you have, what has your experience been?

Thanks.

the barebones box is here:

If you use the "product link" from the Newegg page, you'll get to the
manufacturer's page, and on the right side of that page there are links
to three reviews. The two in English discuss the cooling in some detail
(the one in French may as well--I don't read French so can't say).
Apparently they did put a good deal of work into the cooling.
