Hello,

How to boot from my SATA disk with my ABIT VA-20 motherboard ?

I've a SATA disk and an IDE DVD, but I don't manage to boot from my SATA
disk.

In the BIOS, I haven't the option boot from SATA ? Is it impossible or what
?

Tanks for your help.

You haven't an option to alter the sequence of the boot devices? As in make
the SATA drive the first boot device?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Anyone ever figure out an answer to this. I have been able to boot
from an SATA drive if I do not have any IDE drives hooked up. As
soon as I hook up the IDE drive it wont boot anymore.

I do not see any option in the BIOS to boot from SATA drives. It just
says HDD0 to HDD3 CDROM and lots of USB options.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

generally, there is an option for boot priority and boot device. this is
separate from the boot order of CDROM, HDD, etc. the boot device will be
something like add-in PCI device or HDD0 where the add-in PCI device might
be an example of the SATA controller. once the boot device is set, then the
boot priority can be set.

at least this is how it is on the IC7-G.
