I'm looking at buying an SN95G5V2, arre there any issues with installation
of certain cards into this unit? I'm looking at various Radeon 9800s as they
suit my budget - but what are the specs to avoid? (Put another way, how do I
tell a budget 9800 from more desirable cards?)

Avoid the straight Sapphire 9800 Atlantis (128bit) and any make 9800SE
(comes in two types...one 128bit, the other 256bit with only 4 pipelines of
8 enabled). The straight 256bit 9800 is not bad,, but with the 9800 Pro
running in the $150 range now, there's no point. Any new card labeled as a
9800 Pro will be 256bit, with 8 pipelines. Sapphire made a batch of 128bit
"9800 Pro" Atlantis cards a couple of years back, but they were labeled
128bit on the box.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
